There is a huge need for individuals, organisations and communities to see the full picture of the Great Transition and begin to incorporate the implications into their plans for the future.

For example, most current strategic planning for businesses and Local Governments does not take into account the effects on their operating environment of the six interrelated global stresses. Most people's career decisions leave them highly vulnerable to long-term unemployment.

I use high impact visuals and interactive facilitation to keep participants engaged. I can customise a program to meet your organisation needs including group processes to develop appropriate responses to probable future scenarios. (I worked as a consultant for the HR and management consulting firm Advantage Consulting Services for 3 years and have been facilitating interactive group programs for almost 20 years.)

Transition Preparation Coaching

Are you unsure about your preparation priorities? Feeling a bit stuck with a decision? Emotioally overwhelmed with the awareness of what we are doing to the only planet we've got? Not sure what skills you should be developing to be gainfully employed in the future? Transition coaching provides a real down-to-earth person to talk to about it all. Someone who has already probably gone through some of what you are currently dealing with.

Transition coaching is 1-1 personalised support to enable you to make wiser choices and quickly increase your resilience in key life areas including:

• Household set up
• Food storage and growing
• Career
• Finances
• Emotions and spirit
• Community and friends
• Transport options - electric, lpg, bio-diesel

I have been researching and applying strategies in these areas for years now. I am also able to draw on my experience and resources as a senior career consultant and a Lifeline phone counsellor.

Transition coaching is available throughout Australia and the world via phone and Skype. Face-to-face is available on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.

 

Relocation Consultation

For those who have the desire and the means to relocate it can be the most crucial decison they make with a huge impact on their future welfare and their children.

Many people, when they first learn about peak oil and other threats undermining our economic system, often jump to a potentially disasterous conclusion. They think they will be better off on a piece of land a long way from all cities. Many "survivalist" websites and books promote this "romantic" myth. View Part 3 of the Wise Up course or talk directly to me for some reality-based advice on the types of property and locations which are, in fact, suitable.

Drawing on my degree in regional and town planning and my wide reading on this subject, I have analysed all of Australia based on a range of criteria to identify two areas with the most to offer in terms of future resiliency and safety. I have adapted and refined my conclusions after personal, on-the-ground investigation of both these areas.

 

Fees

I haven't developed TransitionWise.org as a way to get rich quick. I do it because I feel the message is important and that there is a major lack of awareness around these issues.

 

Customised presentations are available on a sliding scale for fees based on the capacity of the organisation to pay and the time and expense involved for me. If it is a community group with no funding available and is not too far from where I live in Buderim on the Sunshine Coast then I will normally do it for free.

My normal consultant fees for the corporate sector are around $1100 a day but I'm open to discuss the situation.

 

Transition Coaching and Relocation Consulting are currently offered for no fixed fee on an "honour system" - you pay me what feels right for you at the end if you feel it was valuable.
